This add-on enables playing video in 3D world, the ads that you cannot skip … Blender add-on compatible!

Work flow

  1. Use VC internal ffmpeg to resize and extract images from video.
  2. Create new component, create new materials and nodes for each frame.

How to install

Unzip to C:\Users<User Name>\Documents\Visual Components\4.x\My Commands\

How to use

  1. Select .mp4 file, recommend less than 30 seconds
  2. Click “Create” button

It’s a edited video, I repeated for few times to get that effect. However, you could try Desktop Player, maybe it would fit your need.

@idkfa this is an awesome addon, thanks!

One request: Is there a way to make it work when you export to .vcax? Looks like it keeps the first frame only :(. I was hoping to have my video playing when I view the simulation in 3D or VR.

It has been componentized, works in Experience, it’s available on 4.8 eCat now, it’s in Misc:VideoPlayer or search VideoPlayer.

Great, I’m also looking forward to the Experience Website Viewer being able to play videos from web pages. If possible, it’s really perfect

@idkfa Hello, i’m using VC 4.10 Premium version.

However, nothing happens even if you follow the instructions in that explanation.
There is no response when you press Create after selecting the image.
May I know why?
