Accessing Visual Components 4.1 using remote desktop is not supported. This issue is also related to the EULA.

I understand.

Thank you for your reply.

I know it’s not allowed, but some use cases it would be really useful to access a remote computer that runs Visual Components.

For example:

  • for large projects where the remote computer has better hardware.
  • For student projects, so they don't loose time to install it on their own computer, but can control a server which has visual components installed.

It is very sensible to think it that way.
However, it seems that the amount will be higher for VC network licenses.

In these times of telecommuting it is a real hassle that we cannot run the software remotely. Our licenses run on non-portable equipment and we are really limited by this problem.

Same here. We have floating licences and use stationary workstations. I can use 3d modeling software or any other software from my home PC using remote desktop except VC.

Yeah, same here! In these times we have to work from home, but I can’t, because of VC…

Any update on this? We really like VC, but not being able to use Remote Desktop is a hassle.
