If the joints are independent you could model the arms as individual robots. This is how the ABB IRB 14000 has been modeled.

So if I understand the ABB IRB correctly, it is two components attached to eachother?
The component actually consists of five components. There is a ‘base’, and two individual arms (robots) that are attached to the base. Additionally, there are grippers connected to each arm.
