Why can we not utilize Remote Desktop with Visual Components? Delmia supports RD… why does VC not?
I will sit next to you on this one. Who says you cannot use Remote Desktop?

Standalone License does not give any right to, and the Licensee may not make the software available for simultaneous use by multiple users over a network, install the software on a server and allow users to access it remotely, or install the software in virtual machine.

Howdy. Are you using VC 4.5 with a network/floating license? If so, go to File > Options > Display and look for “Software Rendering”. You can also find it in the app config file in your app data by searching for “softwareFallbackMode” and set it to true. If enabled, everything should work fine. Note that you need VC 4.5 or higher for this.

Hey, hello everyone,
I’m brand new here and found this older topic. I am trying unsuccessfully to use VC4.6. via Remote Desktop. We have a floating license in use.
But unfortunately it does not work when I follow the workaround here.
- I have activated the hook directly in the program. No success
- So I tried to do it directly in the config file.
Unfortunately I can’t find the corresponding file.
Can someone maybe post the path and the exact file???
Would be very very grateful for the help.
