Problem opening Visual components 4.9 professional on new PC

ive just installed VC 4.9 on a new PC and it wont open properly. this is the error that pops up. any fixes for this? the same happens if i try to open VC 4.8 (we have both licenses)

This goes to support channel, but I do recommend a clean installation:

  • Uninstall VC
  • Delete installation folder (C:\Program Files\Visual Components\Visual Components Premium 4.9) manually if there’s something left there.
  • Delete VC local app data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Visual Components\Visual Components Premium 4.9)
  • Move any python add-ons from “C:\Users%USERNAME%\Documents\Visual Components\4.9\My Commands” to somewhere else
  • Download and install latest VC version
  • Start VC
