Open Kuka.Sim file in Visual Components Pro

Is it possible to open a Kuka.Sim cell file in Visual Components Pro?

I build a cell and programed a robot in Kuka.Sim with OfficeLite. Now the licence from Kuka.Sim is expired and I want to open the saved file from Kuka.Sim in a licenced Visual Components Pro enviroment. The cell shows up, but the robot and the programs are missing.

Any ideas?

Importing projects created via KUKA SimPro

KUKA sim and VC use the same file format, so you can open files made in KUKA sim also in VC. However, before VC had the KUKA OLP feature, the robot program would not load. Now with VC 4.5 Premium there is KUKA OLP functionality, and when you open a file made in KUKA sim, you will also get the robot program. However, this only works with files made in KUKA sim 4.X, as the older format is no longer supported.

So VC Professional is not able to open the robot programs made in KUKA.Sim. For that I need a VC Premium licence.

Maybe the support will help you to convert it using a Premium licence and sends it to you, if it’s only one project.
