Hi @irene.sulonen!

Wondering if 5.0 is also going to bring some improvements for the UX to speed up working with the application?

Such as the possibility to assign custom shortcuts to actions. The current shortcuts in 4.10 are really inconvenient, for example having to press ALT + H + T + 1 + 0 to snap an origin is crazy. On top of this, the same actions have different shortkeys under different tabs!

Also addressing the inconvenience of slowness when switching between home-process-modeling-program tabs and not all options being present everywhere. It takes 1-2 seconds of loading to switch between each tab. Signals and interfaces for example are present under each tab except process - why? :exploding_head:

I feel these sorts of UX inconveniences are constantly getting in my way when building simulations, but all of these could be improved.

Thanks and looking forward to trying out 5.0!

Hi @hans ,

Those are all great points. Some of them are already part of our backlog of items for future improvements. For example, we plan to add “Signal and Interface” to the Process tab. Unfortunately, not many changes are made in version 5.0 concerning these cases. They will probably be planned for future releases.

Thanks for your feedback. We will definitely keep it in mind as part of future UX/UI improvements.

How to work with external Python libraries in 5.0? I use openpyxl for my use case. It used to work with 4.10 as openpyxl was pre-installed.
