Its due to the fact that the STP file had MESH data… This is not compatible for import!

VC is very robust when inhaling CAD Data.
Which specification has your stp?

Export geometry to STEP(AP214)

VC products can import all those STEP versions, but export only mesh data as specified in the AP242 standard.
