hi, i was wondering if there is a way to define the number of total products that a feeder process should create and have them all be created instantly and pile one on top of the other on the feeder process node waiting to be transported? thanks
The “Stack Feeder” in the eCat does exactly that. It has a property tab “Stack” where you can define how many products are created and the offset.
It will create Pallets, but if you want to change it, you can open the Product Editor and select another geometry to replace the pallets.
Hello! Thanks for the answer. But what if I need a few stack feeding process of different products. For example, I need one stack feeder for Pallets and another one for sheets (covering palets). If i change pallets in Product editor, it will changes all instances of stack feeders.
Thank you in advance!
Hello s.voytenko,
In that case, you may change the created product type from the “Create” process statements in the other stack feeders.
Thank you so much! That works!
Hello, is it possible to then un-stack the products again? For example the Stack Feeder feeds a stack of 100 blades which then goes into a machine for whatever process, then the stack is taken out of the machine and the individual pieces are sorted.
Hello, I think it might be easier to work with Assemblies.
Thank you for the reply, I dont know if i should open another question for this, but whatever I try to pick up from the end of the conveyor, even the standards feeder cylinder, outputs me the error: From Conveyor Process #3::ProcessExecutor__HIDE__::FromConveyor::Transport Out error: Product’s Blade Stack state within its flow sequence is lost.
Thank you, I thought they had to be in a separate flow group and I made Flow Group 3! When I tried to connect them in group 2 I still received errors
