Beckhoff ADS in a VM

Hello.

I am a student who is interested in using twincat to program the things in VC.
my TC software is running in a VM and when i try to open it in the connectivity it says

“This Connection Plugin requires separate installation of external dependencies before use. Please refer to the user manual for more information”

i been trying to google my way through the issue to no avail. Is there anyone who can help me solving this issue

You need to install the ADS router on the same computer as VC to communicate with the TwinCAT ADS in your VM.

Hi.
I ended up calling my local Beckhoff support.
It was because i hadn’t made exception rules for the ports in my main machine and my VM
So now it fully works
