I am an engineer from China and I am currently working on path planning for collaborative robots.
In this project, our operating system can only choose to use Windows 7.
I want to know which version of Visual Components can be supported up to under the Windows 7 operating system?
4.2 if I recall correctly.
While it might work fine I think you won’t be able to get support from VC for such old version, only the latest ones are supported in that sense.
The newer versions of VC might also work on Windows 7 unless there is some dependency which can’t be installed anymore, but then you won’t be able to get VC support for any installation or OS specific issues. However, you would get general user support
