We have our own simulation running algorithm for cutting. If we want to embed it in VC, can we show the algorithm results by reducing the model? In other words, can VC use PythonAPI to realize the increase and decrease of model materials?

Hy,

No, there is no way.
Don’t know if this will be a feature of future…
But would be a greate!

Hi xiongxi2019,

You can visualize the product changing shape between events, but doing not dynamically, so that a machine would cut or chip the product to shape.

A great example of how a product can change shape is in the Electric motor demo layouts, where the Set Node Visibility statement is used.
You could use similar approach to first show the template part, after some machining change the looks so that it appears as partly machined product, and finally change the shape to the finished part.

Cheers,
Este
