Sharing eCat configuration

is there any possibility to share the configuration of the eCat between different users? So one user has configured a couple of collections/smart collections that should be transfered to other users.

I’m afraid there’s no convenient way of doing that in a robust way, since the eCat along with its collections is stored in a database file including caching information which is referencing user paths and therefore would cause troubles when copying the database as it is.

Whether collections and sources are exposed by the .NET API and so that one could edit those, is not documented. So not sure if it’s possible to create a plugin to add necessary collections. Exploring the VisualComponents.eCatalogue.DataModel.dll is most likely the way to go.
